ARTIFACT — True Power Comes From Within

Every ViK instrument begins with wood, wire, and vision. But some projects demand more than material and craft. They ask for meaning — for philosophy, for something larger than the sum of their parts. The Artifact line is one of those rare creations.

From the very beginning in 2021, the idea behind Artifact was never about building “just another guitar.” It was about embedding a message into the very DNA of the instrument. Engraved into the medallion inlay — an ancient-looking seal suspended across the fingerboard by a chain — are words that define the line:

True power comes from within.

The Philosophy

Too often, we are led to believe that power is something external. That it is given to us by others, bestowed by systems, or earned through approval. But Artifact rejects that idea. Power is not permission. It is not borrowed. It is not granted. It is innate.

The Artifact medallion represents this eternal truth: we carry the source of our strength within us. When challenges arise, when uncertainty threatens, when the world shifts beneath our feet — our compass, our force, our sovereignty comes from within.

The Instrument as Artifact

• The medallion inlay itself acts as a talisman — a daily reminder of inner strength each time your eyes fall on it.
• The cryptic gothic engraving transforms the guitar into more than an instrument. It becomes a vessel, an artifact carrying a message across generations.
• The use of ultra-rare ebony speaks to permanence and rarity. Just as true power is not abundant in the outside world, these materials are precious, scarce, and timeless.

ARTIFACT 3: The New Chapter

The newest creation, ARTIFACT 3, takes this concept even further. For the first time, a ViK features a pure Black & White Ebony neck — a symbolic choice. Ebony is dense, unwavering, resistant. It represents resilience. With a master-grade Black & White Ebony top and an ultra-rare Madagascar ebony fingerboard, the guitar is constructed from over 70% of the two most exclusive ebony species in existence. And for the first time, an Artifact proudly carries both the new ViK emblem and the Sovereign Reserve badge.

The Reminder

In the end, Artifact is not about the medallion, the engraving, or even the wood. It is about the philosophy it carries. To hold an Artifact is to hold a reminder that no matter the circumstances — doubt, challenge, chaos, or triumph — your strength does not come from the outside world. It comes from within. And it has always been there.
