AURA

This is one of the most fundamental projects in ViK Guitars history.

The kind that earns the phrase “the original…” in front of its name.

It started out as just another custom shop order — albeit one with incredibly high specs and value. But as sometimes happens (and you’ll hear this again with a few other special builds), the customer and I tuned into a rare, elevated frequency — where the entire project transforms into something more than just a build.

It becomes a story.

And the result? Something so unique and powerful that it defines a whole new standard.

That’s exactly what happened here. This build gave birth to a name and a blueprint for a line of instruments at the highest level of craftsmanship and material selection — the ViK AURA line.

Only select master-grade tops make the cut, finished with our unique “halo” staining pattern (in a range of colors). Specs are always top-tier — often featuring Brazilian or Madagascar rosewood necks, paired with premium figured body woods.

This particular guitar wasn’t the first fancy ViK to roll out of the shop, but it was the one that helped define what it takes for a Duality to become an AURA — refining the core traits, standards, and energy that the name now represents.
