FROSTBITE

"FROSTBITE" is a very special project in the history of ViK Guitars. It was the first ViK to feature the Evertune F7 bridge system — something that had been a long time coming but was delayed as much as possible due to the size of the cavity required for installation.

But it had to happen at some point — and when it did, this 27" baritone beast benefited hugely from always being in tune.

The other defining element of this build is the unique stain pattern and color scheme, which took three complete redos to finally get right and to bring out all the quilted figure of the top. The drama of red flesh getting bitten by frost, turning purple-black and then pure ice... it's real. ))

Matching acrylic block inlays with glowing purple contours and a glow-in-the-dark snowflake as the cherry on top complete the theme. Even the back of the birdseye maple neck is stained in matching tones — looking wild against the tightly grained swamp ash body.

A set of active Fishman pickups brings all the roar, and the extended scale adds depth and power to the mix.
