RED DRAGON

Private Collection / USA

Description

Ladies and djentlemen, please welcome one of the most amazing ViK Dualities ever created - RED DRAGON! What an absolute beauty with that incredible master grade quilted maple top and matching back (we’ve worked with some great quilts but this stuff is off the charts), figured purpleheart neck (super stable and incredible tonewood) and ultra rare Madagascar ebony fingerboard from the 90s (CITESII list these days) with intricate Dragon inlay, as well as all around red purfling and custom knobs glowing in the dark as a part of our VISION line. Curly maple binding around the whole thing, stained to match the colors. ViK proprietary OPEN CHAMBERS feature takes the tone of this instrument to the level above godly and custom OX4 pickups humbacker set (we believe first ever OX4 set of f-spaced bridge pickup and black covers) is there to capture it best. We’ve made a number of fine instruments but this one is perhaps on top of them all and looks absolutely unreal.
