SUNSET

A full custom order, SUNSET was heavily inspired by our original Pacific Sunset build—but as always, the mission was to take it further. Repeating myself just isn't in my DNA.

We started with an absolutely stunning one-piece quilted maple top with a rare tabular figure that looks like ripples on the surface of the ocean. The stain colors came out incredibly vivid on this one—maybe even a bit over the top—but in the end, paired with gold hardware, the whole thing just works. It looks absolutely insane in the best possible way.

The neck is carved from ultra-rare 1990s Madagascar rosewood, topped with a "loaded" black and white ebony fingerboard. For the inlay, we went with a glow-in-the-dark "Setting Sun" motif and Z-pattern abalone fret markers shaped like mini guitar picks.

The full perimeter is wrapped in natural abalone purfling bordered by sleek black binding, adding another layer of elegance and pop.

Under the hood, a Gotoh 510 tremolo with a massive stainless steel block and fully floating setup gives this instrument another dimension in what it's capable of.
