THE END OF AN ERA — AND A NEW BEGINNING

Hey everyone,

After much reflection, I’ve made a decision that’s been quietly forming for a long time:

I’m retiring from full-time luthiery.

Back in January, I announced that ViK Guitars would no longer take custom orders or commissions. This was done to pave the road for the transition I’ve been dreaming about my entire career. I have other callings to pursue, and they require time and effort — but don’t worry, I’m not quitting the art.

I’m liberating it.
